Sadly, sometimes a beloved classic is beyond simple repair and needs a more holistic approach to bringing it back to its former glory. Once clean, any and all welding is performed to make sure the shell is pristine and solid; it is then re-dipped/blasted to remove any oxidisation that has occurred while it is being welded and treated with a rust inhibiter.
With the shell fully prepped it is painted in the colour of your choice with several sumptuous coats, to leave a deep gloss shine that is almost too good to cover with parts.
Our preference is to fit a new loom, a 50+ year old electrical system is usually replete with spliced sections, redundant wiring and corroded sections, all of which make for an unreliable base,
Any and all brightwork is either re-chromed or replaced and refitted to the car. Metalwork and bracketry is shot-blasted and powder-coated, including suspension metalwork and the running gear is rebuilt.
The engine is completely stripped, the block prepped and rebuilt with new parts aluminium elements are vapour-blasted, to restore the factory look and the engine is dressed with elements of chrome and finished with new pipework.
New suspension is fitted, according to your specification and either original wheels are refurbished, or new ones sourced.
Finally the refurbished interior is refitted to complete the restoration and the car is detailed to show condition.
